Grants
A grant is a type of financial aid that you do not have to pay back. They can come from federal, state, or university funds to undergraduate students. These can be awarded based on financial need and/or academic performance.
Types of Grants
Students are automatically and only considered for the grants as outlined below if they complete a FAFSA. Some grant programs require you to complete your FAFSA by a specified deadline EVERY YEAR. Deadlines can vary by grant, so it is important you review each program and complete your FAFSA on time to maximize your eligibility!
- Federal Grants
- State of Missouri Grants
- Mizzou Grants
Federal grants are offered through the Department of Education and are awarded based upon different eligibility criteria as determined by the FAFSA. You must complete the FAFSA annually for consideration.
