Borrowing Loans?
If you have accepted federal student loans, and you are a first-time borrower at Mizzou:
- Complete your Entrance Counseling: This is an online session that helps you understand your responsibilities and rights as a borrower.
- e-sign your Master Promissory Note: This is a legal document in which you promise to repay your loans and any accrued interest and fees to the U.S. Department of Education.
Even if you’ve already accepted your loans in myZou, these steps must be completed for your federal student loans to be disbursed. These tasks will be located on your to do list in myZou.
